This year Carers Support Centre celebrates its 20 year anniversary. Our charity has grown and we now support over 11,000 carers per year. We have gone from being a small service with a handful of staff, to a sizeable organisation with more than 50 staff and 180 volunteers. As well as our range of practical services, we have worked strategically with many partners to improve the support and services that carers receive. This includes working with employers, schools, GP practices, hospitals and health and social care professionals.
To celebrate our milestone anniversary we will be hosting a number of awareness raising and fundraising events throughout 2017. Last year we were successful in gaining Big Lottery funding (through the Local Sustainability Fund) and our community fundraising programme is supported through this.
Please help us make these events a success! Our events are open to carers and our supporters and will be held in different locations across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
