Befriending and buddying

Befriending Service

Does your caring role often leave you feeling lonely or isolated? Would it be helpful to speak to someone who understands your situation? Would you like to have someone to speak to on a regular basis?

Our befriending service can help. This service can give you regular emotional support by phone, skype or email for up to 12 months.
We can match you with a trained volunteer who will understand your situation, and who can get to know you. Your befriender can provide good conversation, companionship and emotional support. They will contact you fortnightly at an agreed time. You can use this service for up to one year, and it is available for all carers aged 18 and over in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

Buddying Service

Do you often wonder where to start, or how to navigate the complexities of health and social care systems? Would it be helpful to understand what support you are entitled to and where to find this?

Our buddying service can help by giving practical support to those who are new to caring or just need some help and advice.
We can match you with a trained volunteer who is also a carer (or former carer). They will be able to contact you regularly by phone, email or skype and help with practical support and accessing advice and information. This service is available to all carers aged 18 or over in Bristol or South Gloucestershire.
