Carers Support Centre can help with carers assessments

A carer who lives in Bristol or has a Bristol GP and is not currently getting community care services, may be able to get a one-off payment to help continue in their caring role. This might include having a short break away, joining a gym or taking up a hobby or course, buying equipment e.g. tumble dryer or assistive technology, buying a service that makes caring easier e.g. driving lessons, paying for a sitting service.

A carer who lives in South Gloucestershire, or cares for someone who lives in South Gloucestershire, can get an assessment of needs as a carer through ‘Getting Help and Connected’.
