Carers Scholarship Fund still open to applications

Applications are open for the Open University (OU) Carers Scholarships Fund. It offers carers the chance to study with the OU for free. Carers Trust and Carers UK are supporting this initiative.

What is the scholarship?

  • 50 scholarships are available in 2020/2021, of which 15 are reserved for young carers aged between 18-25.
  • All OU undergraduate credit bearing modules and qualifications up to a maximum of 360 credits are available under this scheme.
  • To be eligible, the applicant should be studying with the OU for the first time and be seeking to commence study in the 2020/2021 academic year, or defer until 2021/2022.
  • Full fee waivers will be available for a full undergraduate qualification, up to a maximum of 120 credits per seasonal academic year, 360 credits in total.
