New dementia mentoring service

If you are a carer for someone with dementia and would like to talk to another carer who has experienced a similar caring situation, our new dementia mentoring service can help.

All our volunteers on our new dementia mentoring project have lived experience caring for someone with dementia. They will give you 1 to 1 support with a fortnightly call, offering support and sharing ideas and tips to help make things easier. All volunteers are trained to help you set goals, using a cognitive behavioral therapy based approach.

Volunteers will help carers for a time period of between 3-6 months. This will allow time for you to work towards your personal goals, that your volunteer will help you set yourself.

If you are interested in linking up with a dementia mentor or have any questions, please get in touch with Maria: 0117 958 9904 wellbeing@carerssupportcentre.org.uk
