Do you care for someone accessing mental health services living in Bristol?

Would you like to draw on your experience as a carer to make positive change?

We are looking for a mental health carer representative!

Carer representatives are carers who raise the views of other carers at meetings and events to help change local and national policy.

As a carer representative, you would take carers’ views to a quarterly board held at Carers Support Centre which aims to plan and improve services for all carers in Bristol, plus an AWP (Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust) meeting at Callington Road on the first Wednesday of each month from 11.30am – 1pm.
Training, support and expenses provided (next induction is on Wednesday 11th September from 1-3pm).

It doesn’t matter if you can’t attend every meeting – there are other ways to feed your views in.

You will be working alongside other carers who are also carer representatives, and will be invited to (optional) carer representative lunches. This opportunity is a great way to meet other carers, work as a team and at the same time make a positive change to the support carers receive.
