Some carer representatives supported by Carers Support Centre fed into a national consultation on transport last year.
On the back of this, a new transport strategy has been launched by government. Carer representatives pushed for Changing Places to be incorporated everywhere that a person travels and there is now a £2mn investment for accessible changing places to be fitted into service stations that don’t already have them.
