New financial support for adults in South Gloucestershire

South Gloucestershire Council is launching a new resilience fund, which is also open to carers.

The Resilience fund is available to anybody who is experiencing financial hardship as a direct result of the pandemic. This fund is flexible and can give you support for your immediate or long-term needs. It will be open to anybody who can demonstrate the following:

  • Lives in South Gloucestershire,
  • Over 16 years old,
  • Savings under £6,000 or if over, able to demonstrate why they can’t use the funds to assist with the financial impact,
  • Be able to show how Coronavirus has had a negative impact on their finances.

There are many reasons why you may be finding it difficult to cope financially because of coronavirus.

These include:

  • being made redundant
  • a cut in working hours
  • owning a business that has been closed due to lockdown
  • increased living costs
  • a cut in income.

Please note: each application will be looked at on a case by case basis.

Find more information and instructions on how to apply on the South Gloucestershire Council website.
