Over 6,000 Bristol & South Gloucestershire carers carry a Carers Emergency Card. The card is used in the event of the carer having an accident or emergency to ensure the person they look after receives vital help. Alongside this, the carer can also use their card to get discounts. We promote the Carers Emergency Card on behalf of Bristol & South Gloucestershire Councils.
We promote the discount scheme in community publications and through our social media channels. We also regularly feature businesses in Carers News (circulation 10,000).
