Could you speak out to make positive change?

Carer representatives raise the views of all carers at meetings and events to help change local and national policy. They are also involved in interviewing health and social care staff and some even take part in delivering training!

We are running three training sessions for existing and new carer representatives. If you want to find out more about becoming a carer representative, these sessions will be ideal for you. They take place at Carers Support Centre, from 10am–1pm followed by lunch.

  • Thursday 28 February – roles and responsibilities of carer representatives, team working and equality and diversity issues.
  • Friday 29 March – communication, including communicating with professionals.
  • Thursday 2 May – legislation and carers’ rights.
