Helping carers into work

Are you thinking about ways to get back into work and would you find it helpful to receive some support?

Perhaps a training course to improve your confidence? Brushing up on your IT skills? Or understanding what flexible working options are available from local employers?

We have received funding for three years to support carers aged 18 and over to feel more confident and better prepared to access training, volunteering and employment opportunities. You can access this project if you are a carer in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath or North Somerset.

It does not matter how much or little you want to work, or how difficult you feel it would be to achieve this. If you are ready to make a change in your life, we want to help you work towards this.

We will provide you with individual support through one of our experienced Carer Support Officers, who will work with you, getting to know you and your personal situation. For example, we’ll consider what kind of work you want, what skills you already have, and how you could fit things alongside your caring role. We’ll then work with you to draw up a personal development plan that fits around your caring responsibilities.

If you would like to refer yourself for support, we would love to hear from you.
