University of Bristol – Reimagining day care provision for older people

Do you care for an older person? The University of Bristol would like to speak with carers and family members to understand your experiences and views about day care, as part of a research project.

Taking part would involve an interview that can be done over the phone and will take 45-60 minutes.

About the study

The study is funded by the NIHR School for Social Care Research and will explore the current role, and potential role, of collective day care for older people (65+) in England.

As part of the study the University of Bristol would like to speak with carers and family members of older people, particularly those who have experience of their loved one attending day care, for example, a day centre. The interview will cover questions such as: Has your loved one attended any day care services? How do/would you spend that time?

The results from the study will inform debates about the current role, and potential role of collective day care for older people, as well as their carers.
