Free training for carers

Two November workshops: Everyday First Aid and Hospital Admissions

Everyday First Aid

The British Red Cross are inviting carers to learn simple first aid skills which could make all the difference in an emergency. The workshop covers common first aid scenarios including what to do if someone is choking, unconscious or bleeding, and how to treat a burn or fracture. It will also help participants spot the warning signs of a heart attack or stroke, and give them lots of tools to step in and act.

Wednesday 1 November 2017, 1 – 3pm in Easton

Hospital Admissions: new workshop for carers

Over 65 and going into hospital? Do you know how your benefits could be effected if you (as the carer) or the person you care for goes into hospital?  What do you need to do? What support is available in the hospital setting to carers?

Come along to this workshop to find the answer to these questions and a lot more.
This workshop is run by Carers Support Centres Hospital Liaison worker who works closely with hospital staff and will be able to share her knowledge and experience with you.
Tuesday 14th November 10am-12pm at Carers Support Centre
