Did you know Avon Fire and Rescue Services offer a free safety check on your home and give you advice on how to lower the risk of you and your family experiencing a fire?
During the visit, you will get advice on:
• how to prevent fire happening
• what to do in the event of a fire
• cooking and electrical safety
• planning an escape route
• planning a night time routine.
If needed, Avon Fire and Rescue will provide and fit smoke alarms, or replace any that may be faulty, free of charge. They may also be able to help with additional fire safety equipment specific to your circumstances, or refer you to other agencies who may able to support you with your consent.
Visits need to be pre-arranged with Avon Fire and Rescue and last about 45 minutes.
