Do you care for a family member with a learning disability?
Carers of an adult with a learning disability are less likely to support because they are often parents for whom caring has been a way of life for as long as they can remember.
When services are undergoing such big changes and carers want to plan for the future, the lunch and discussion group is a great source of information and support. Family carers can talk about their caring role and what support, information and help would make things easier for them.
This is a very friendly and supportive group and new people are always welcome. A free sandwich lunch is provided. Meetings are held at Carers Support Centre’s office in Fishponds. Dates are as follows:
Bristol carers:
Tuesday 7th November, 10.30am-12.30pm
South Glos carers:
Wednesday 18th October, 10.30am-1pm
Tuesday 28th November, 10.30am-1pm
